Why free?
iq-factura is in open beta. We're at a stage where we need real users — autónomos issuing real invoices — to catch bugs, polish UX, and refine the Verifactu flow before charging.
When paid plans land (likely Q3 2026), users on the beta will get preferential pricing — a permanent discount over the future price as a thank-you for helping us build the tool.
Until then, every feature is available. No card, no expiring free trials, no email capture with ads. Just iq-factura, free, until we're ready to charge.
What changes when payment arrives?
Nothing dramatic. The plan isn't to break the tool — it's to keep maintaining and improving it, which needs financial sustainability.
There'll likely be a free tier with a cap (e.g., 10 invoices/month) and paid plans for heavier usage. Verifactu compliance is always included — it's the product's reason for being, not a premium feature.
We'll email you at least 60 days before any pricing change. If you decide to leave, you'll be able to export all your invoices first — the 6-year legal retention stays with you, but we hand over the PDFs and structured JSON so you can keep complying.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The open beta never asks for a card. You sign up with email or Google, configure your emitter profile, upload your FNMT certificate, and start invoicing. When paid plans arrive, we'll email you — you decide whether to stay.
How long will the free beta last?
No hard date, but we estimate 3-6 more months. We want a stable 1.0 covering all cases (professional autónomos, commercial autónomos, small SLs) before we start charging.
Will I lose my invoices when paid plans launch?
No. Invoices you issue during the beta stay accessible — the free tier (when it exists) will still let you view and download them. Only the new-invoice volume per month will be capped on the free tier.
Will beta users get a permanent discount?
Yes. Users who are active in the beta (at least one issued invoice) get a 30-50% permanent discount on the equivalent paid plan. Exact figure announced alongside the final plans, but the lifetime-discount commitment is firm.
Do you accept SEPA or bank transfer?
Today it doesn't apply (no charges). When paid plans arrive, we'll support at least card and SEPA. Annual bank transfer for B2B clients is on the shortlist.
What if I decide not to stay when paid plans arrive?
You'll be able to export all your invoices (PDF + JSON) and migrate to another provider or gestoría. We keep read access for at least 90 days after your last invoice so you can finish the migration comfortably.
Is my data protected during the beta?
Yes. Full GDPR compliance: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest (S3 + AES-256-GCM for FNMT certificates), immediate deletion on request, data stored exclusively in the EU (eu-central-1).
